The flash floods, which originated in Tibet on Wednesday, caused widespread destruction in Nepal's Rasuwa and Dhading districts. At least 207 people have died, while 750 others, including 133 Indian nationals, remain missing.
The disaster has also caused widespread destruction of homes, roads, bridges, hydropower projects and other infrastructure.
The devastating flash floods that struck Nepal were triggered by a glacial collapse and debris flow, rather than a 4.4-magnitude earthquake reported earlier, the US Geological Survey (USGS) has said.
The USGS said further analysis of long-period seismic waves, data from nearby monitoring stations and satellite imagery indicated that the seismic activity recorded during the disaster was caused by a glacial collapse and subsequent debris flow.
