Five Cash-Counting Machines Used
According to officials, the enormous amount of money made it impossible to count the notes manually. Police brought in five currency-counting machines, but even those struggled to handle the huge volume of cash. After several hours of work, authorities finally completed the counting process.

Cash and Gold Transported in Five Large Metal Boxes
Police reportedly had to arrange five large metal trunks to transport the seized cash and gold from Mondal's two-storey house in Devcha village.
During the search operation, officials recovered 14 gold bars weighing one kilogram each, along with 10 gold biscuits weighing 100 grams each. The estimated value of the confiscated gold is around Rs.21.5 crore.
Authorities said the cash, stored in multiple bags, amounted to more than Rs.28 crore. Mondal is believed to be a major figure in Birbhum's stone and sand mining industry. CM Suvendu Adhikari has previously referred to him as a "sand mafia" operator.
Further investigations into the source of the money and gold are currently underway.
