A viral video showing Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor with a baby bump is circulating on social media. It was shared by right-wing journalist Suresh Chavhanke with the derogatory and Islamophobic caption, "after Taimur and Jahangir, now Babur," implying that the actress is currently pregnant with her third child.
WHAT IS THE TRUTH?
A reverse search of the video's keyframes confirms that the footage is not recent. The exact clip being circulated was originally uploaded to YouTube on December 7, 2020, with the title "Big Bellied Pregnant Kareena Kapoor Unable To Walk Properly With HUGE Baby Bump!"
At the time this video was originally taken, Kareena Kapoor was legitimately pregnant with her second son, Jehangir (Jeh) Ali Khan, who was born in February 2021. At Youturn , we have similarly debunked claims about Kareena Kapoor over the last few years.
In July 2022, photos of Kareena Kapoor from a family vacation in Europe went viral, sparking rumors of a third pregnancy. The actress had to personally debunk the rumors via Instagram, humorously stating: "It's the pasta and wine guys calm down I am not pregnant... uff. Saif says he has already contributed way too much to the population of our country."

The caption "After Taimur and Jahangir, now Babur" is a direct, religiously motivated attack. Ever since the couple named their first son Taimur in 2016, and their second son Jehangir in 2021, they have been subjected to intense trolling by right-wing groups who accused them of naming their children after Mughal rulers. By using the name "Babur" (the founder of the Mughal empire), the current viral post is intentionally leaning into this established Islamophobic trope to generate outrage and virality.
CONCLUSION
There is zero truth to the claim that Kareena Kapoor is pregnant again. The individual who shared the video used an old paparazzi clip from late 2020 out of context to construct a fake narrative, exploiting the footage solely to propagate communal hate and inflammatory rhetoric.
