A viral video on X purportedly showing on X that a 4 years old kid is chanting Boom Boom Bumraahh is no one but 15 year old Rajasthan Royal emerging star and furious batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

The X mentioned that 'From cheering in the stands in 2018 to hitting a six on the first ball against the world's best in 2026 is Vaibhav Suryavanshi's journey is proof that no dream is too big if you have the heart to chase it. The future of Indian cricket is here!

The same video was widely shared by the Indian Cricket fans can be seen

What is the truth?

We ran a reverse image search and we found the same viral Boom Boom Bumrah small kid video was posted on

X handle with the caption 'Found the Boom Boom Bumrah kid! 4 years apart.' In this we found the 24 December 2020 where the small kid chanting a 4 years old kid is chanting Boom Boom Bumraahh in Melbourne after that same kid video from 3 December 2024 saying from Adelaide that 'Boom Boom Bumraahh… He is really amazing and he is really fantastic.

Furthermore we found the SBS Gujarati article titled 'Three-year-old Bumrah fan gets to meet his idol after video goes viral'.

SBS Gujarati reported that 'a video of three-year-old Jiyaan Desai, a passionate fan of Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, went viral after he was seen adorably mispronouncing and repeatedly chanting Bumrah's name while watching him bowl at Adelaide Oval.

The clip, shared by The Bharat Army and later by Mumbai Indians, was widely appreciated by fans and Indian players. Following the viral fame, Jiyaan's father named Harsh Desai took him to an Indian team practice session, where Jiyaan finally met his idol Jasprit Bumrah; due to COVID-19 rules they could not take a selfie, but Bumrah posed for a socially distanced photo, fulfilling the young boy's dream.

According to this we deduce that a viral video from the 2020 Test match at Adelaide Oval, showing a young child enthusiastically chanting "Boom Boom Bumrah," has been falsely shared on social media as featuring Rajasthan Royals batter and rising star Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

The child in the video is actually Jiyaan Desai, who was there with his father, Harsh Desai, not Suryavanshi. Social media users have falsely quoted "Bumrrra…Bumrrra Bumrrrah" chant to Suryavanshi, but the real identity is Jiyaan Desai.

Conclusion

A viral video from the 2020 Adelaide Oval Test, showing a child excitedly chanting "Boom Boom Bumrah," falsely shared on social media as featuring Rajasthan Royals batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi. In reality, the child is three-year-old Jiyaan Desai, who attended the match with his father Harsh Desai, and the chant "Bumrrra… Bumrrra Bumrrrah" is wrongly attributed to Suryavanshi.
