After many years of rumours, spy shots and announcements, the all-new Renault Duster is finally here! Along with a rugged personality, tough styling and a slew of new equipment, Renault's latest SUV brings with it some key alterations for India. Here is all you need to know about the recently unveiled Duster:
2026 Renault Duster: Exterior
The exterior styling of the Duster stands out as tough and rugged in a segment full of otherwise softly-styled and sophisticated crossovers. At the front, you get to see a prominent grille with large 'DUSTER' lettering. You also get to see high-mounted rectangular LED headlamps with a sleek signature for the DRLs. You also get to see a thick silver skid plate, along with the fog lamps at the bottom, along with vertical cuts on either side of the bumper for better air flow.

Move on to the side, and the muscular stance is made even clearer with the thick cladding, prominent haunches, new 18-inch alloy wheels and the tall roof rails. You also get a plastic insert over the front door for more road presence. Notably, Renault has integrated the rear door handle behind the rear window for a cleaner look.

Towards the rear, we see that the biggest change for the Indian car comes in the form of an LED light strip connecting the 'C-shaped' taillamps. Besides this, it also gets a new bumper with silver applique, a roof spoiler and a sharply raked rear windshield.

2026 Renault Duster: Interior
Move on inside, and the Duster carries forward its functional theme, with an upright dashboard with a boxy design and hard-wearing plastics. However, the Indian version gets a new green-black colour theme for the upholstery.

That said, it still gets some modern elements like the new digital instrument cluster, a stubby gear shift on the centre console and a front armrest.
Unlike the global versions, the India-spec Duster will also feature a panoramic sunroof to provide a bright and airy feeling. Rear seat passengers also get a centre armrest with a dedicated smartphone slot.

2026 Renault Duster: Features And Safety
Given how important this model is for Renault India, the carmaker has loaded the Duster with features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with Google OS, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, wireless charger and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

In terms of safety, the new Duster gets a Level 2 ADAS suite, along with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 360 degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.
2026 Renault Duster: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Duster will be offered with a choice of 1-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.8-litre strong hybrid engines. The 1-litre turbo-petrol, shared with the Kiger, will only get a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol will be offered with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox options.
