Hero Glamour X 125 Is Now Safer Than Before

Hero Glamour X 125 Is Now Safer Than Before

ZIGWHEELS 15 hrs ago

Hero MotoCorp has expanded the Glamour X 125 range with a new single-channel ABS variant. Priced at Rs 1,01,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it sits at the top of the Glamour X line-up and brings an important safety upgrade to the feature-packed 125cc commuter.

Hero Glamour X 125: Price

Variant

Price (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Drum Brake

Rs 88,517

Disc Brake

Rs 96,836

Single-Channel ABS (NEW)

Rs 1,01,000

The new ABS version commands a premium of Rs 4,164 over the disc-brake variant. It also becomes the first Glamour X variant to feature anti-lock braking technology.

Gets ABS And CBS

The biggest addition here is, unsurprisingly, the single-channel ABS. The system helps prevent the front wheel from locking up under hard braking, adding an extra layer of safety, particularly during emergency stops or on slippery roads.

The Glamour X also features a combined braking system, which links the front and rear brakes to distribute braking force more effectively. Together, these systems should make the bike feel more reassuring when bringing it to a halt, especially during an emergency situation.

Two New Colours Added

Hero has also introduced two new paint schemes with the ABS variant: Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey, while the other colour options remain unchanged (Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue).

Beyond these changes, the motorcycle remains mechanically and visually unchanged.

Same Engine And Features

Power continues to come from the 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 11.55 PS and 10.5 Nm. The motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The Glamour X is also among the more feature-heavy motorcycles in the 125cc commuter space. It gets three riding modes, cruise control, a 4.2-inch LCD instrument console with call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, along with a panic brake alert and several other features.

ZigSays

The addition of ABS addresses one of the biggest omissions in the Glamour X 125's otherwise impressive equipment list. At just over Rs 1 lakh, it isn't the cheapest 125cc commuter around, but the roughly Rs 4,000 premium over the disc-brake version seems reasonable considering the added safety.

The Glamour X 125 goes up against the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Honda SP125, TVS Raider 125 and the Honda CB125 Hornet in India.
