Mahindra is all set to launch the new XUV 7XO in the Indian market tomorrow, along with the release of the official price list. Bookings for the car were opened last month, along with multiple teasers that have increased curiosity in interested buyers.
What remains a surprise is the pricing of the car, which will be announced tomorrow. This story gives a short brief of what the new XUV 7XO could bring with it and what you can expect.
Exterior Design: A New Look!
On the outside, the overall silhouette of the car will remain the same, but it will get new design updates. Starting from the front, the XUV 7XO will get a redesigned bumper with a larger faux skid plate. The headlamp clusters will see a more rounded off design, along with new LED projector headlights and foglights, and a new radiator grille.

At the side, it will retain the flush door handles and roof rails, along with the muscular profile. What's different here will be the newly styled 18-inch alloy wheels.

Moving at the rear, the design elements will be very similar to those of the all-electric XEV 9S. These new touches include reworked taillights with honeycomb detailing and a black casing. The rear bumper will also be redesigned to match the overall aesthetic of the car.

Interior Layout: More Modern and Premium
Step inside, and what will draw your attention immediately is the new interior layout. From what has been confirmed from the teasers, the cabin will be finished in a fresh three-tone black-brown-beige colour theme. The dashboard will now house three 12.3-inch display screens for the digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and the passenger entertainment display. What's also new is a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the centre.

The second and third row of seats are good in space as well, which was already observed on the XUV700; high-end variants might also be offered with a 6-seater captain seat configuration. What further enhances the cabin experience is a panoramic sunroof, rear window sunshades, and adjustable second row seats.
Features And Safety: No Complaints Here!
When the XUV700 was first launched in 2021, Mahindra had hardly missed any box unticked. With the XUV 7XO, Mahindra plans on repeating the same story, but this time with even more modern and class-leading features. From what has been confirmed from the teasers so far, the XUV 7XO will get a 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Sound System with Dolby Atmos, a wireless charger, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, a BYOD Entertainment Screen Slot, and a powered 'Boss Mode'.

Apart from the confirmed features, the XUV 7XO is anticipated to borrow a few features from its electric sibling, the XEV 9S. The 7XO could offer features like ventilated rear seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, AR-based heads-up display, and a powered tailgate.

Mahindra XUV 7XO Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the XUV 7XO is expected to remain unchanged, with buyers having to choose from two engine options. These include a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2-litre turbo petrol engine. Manual and automatic transmission options should also be available. The diesel engine is also expected to come with an optional all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO Expected Price And Rivals
Mahindra had opened the pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO last month for interested customers at an amount of Rs 21,000. The pricing of the XUV 7XO is yet to be revealed, but considering the pricing of the outgoing model and the amount of updates the new model is anticipated to bring, we expect the XUV 7XO to be priced from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, while the top-of-the-line variant could be priced upwards of Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The XUV 7XO will continue to take on popular cars of the segment like the Tata Safari and Harrier, the recently updatedMG Hector, the Hyundai Alcazar, and the Jeep Compass.
ZigSays…
Mahindra is expected to bring in a lot of updates, especially in terms of tech on the XUV 7XO. It should easily impress buyers with all the equipment they will ever need, from modern features, enhanced safety, along with tried and tested powertrain options, to a new cabin layout. The new XUV 7XO should tick all boxes.
