Terrorists hurl grenade in Shopian
Jammu, August 05, (HS) On the first anniversary of the revocation of special status of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists have attacked a security force in South Kashmir district of Shopian on Wednesday. Reports said that terrorists hurled a grenade and engaged in few rounds of fire towards on a joint security force team of Central Reserve Police Force and Police at Bonbazar in Shopian on Wednesday morning, however, no one was injured. The security forces have also retaliated with gun shorts and cordoned the whole area and launched a massive search operation, but terrorists managed to escape during the chaos created due to the blast and gunshots. However the operation is on. Pertinently, this is third attack by terrorists in Kashmir in the last 24 hours. On Tuesday late evening, terrorists lobbed a grenade on a police team. A sarpanch was also shot at Kulgam, injuring him critically.
