Samsung has now confirmed that it is the Galaxy F42 5G via a dedicated microsite on Flipkart. The South Korean giant has set September 29th at 12 noon as the launch for the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G smartphone. Samsung has teased a few key hardware features of the new device, which gives us insights as to what we can expect.

    The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ display that refreshes at 90Hz. It continues to feature an Infinity-V notch to house the 8MP selfie snapper and narrow bezels. It will run on MediaTek's Dimensity 700 chip coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Users will also get an option to upgrade the storage via a micro-SD card slot. The device will run on Samsung's OneUI based on Android 11 out of the box.

    Moving on to the optics, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 115-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP depth unit.
