Gandhinagar: Six officers from the Gujarat Police Service (GPS) have been promoted to the Indian Police Service (IPS). The Union Ministry of Home Affairs issued the official notification on Thursday.
The appointments have been made by the President under the Indian Police Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, based on the Select List 2025. All six officers have been allotted to the Gujarat cadre and will remain on probation for one year. he officers inducted into the IPS are:
As part of the induction process, the officers will also undergo the required training under the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, before taking up their new responsibilities.
