Although it is currently available only in Indonesia
Yamaha has introduced a 70th Anniversary special colour scheme for the XSR 155 in Indonesia, celebrating the brand's long global racing history.
The XSR 155 has only recently made its way to our shores, and this colour adds a strong dose of heritage that we think enthusiasts would love to see in India.
Classic Yamaha Racing Colours
The anniversary edition stands out with a red and white colour combination inspired by Yamaha's iconic race bikes from the 1990s. The design is a tribute to the legendary YZF-R7 race machine, and it carries old-school racing-style graphics along with gold Yamaha tuning fork logos.
The Yamaha XSR 155's neo-retro flair makes it a good match for heritage racing colours, and special editions like this tend to generate strong interest among riders who want something unique without modifying their bike. This factory-finished retro racing look with an authentic backstory stands out in a segment where visual appeal plays a big role.
Why This Matters for India
The 70th Anniversary colour is currently limited only to Indonesia, we hope it makes it way here too. Speaking of colours, here's what the XSR 155 gets currently. While we don't know whether we'll get this colour or not, the Japanese brand did do something for its 70th Anniversary for India recently - it dropped the prices of the Yamaha R15.
In a related development, Yamaha also introduced the 70th anniversary special edition for the R15.
