Farah Khan further asked Rajpal if the situation made him angry. Rajpal explained that he has learned to live in all circumstances. "No, I've learned to live in all circumstances," he replied. When asked if he had to perform any duties in prison, Rajpal replied, "That wasn't the case. But we were allowed to live there with proper discipline, so we had to stay there and spend our time properly."

Rajpal Yadav was granted interim bail till March 18.

This entire case dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav took a loan of approximately ₹5 crore from M/s Murali Projects Private Limited to produce his directorial debut, "Aata Pata Lapata." The complainant company alleges that several checks issued to repay the amount bounced, following which a case was filed against Rajpal Yadav and a company associated with him under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. During the trial, the Karkardooma Court issued several notices to Rajpal Yadav, but he failed to appear in court for a long time. In 2013, he was sent to judicial custody for 10 days.
