Domestic Market
Sugar Prices traded stable
Domestic sugar prices witnessed steady sentiment with good buying at higher price levels.
Moreover, given the tightening domestic sugar balance sheet and concerns over lower carryover stocks, a sharp correction in prices appears unlikely during the remainder of the season.
In North India, M-grade sugar prices in Muzaffarnagar were quoted at ₹4,080-₹4,200 per quintal, steady from the previous session. In Maharashtra, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at ₹3,840-₹3,870 per quintal, also reported stable.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $445.60 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.37 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 447-0 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 2.00500s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 94.907 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.0321 Crude WTI traded at $89.77 a barrel. Sensex closed 508.40 points down at 74,267.34 whereas Nifty closed 165.15 points lower at 23,382.60
