Kyle Larson breaks silence on backlash over his claims of 'being better' than Max Verstappen

The NASCAR and Formula One fans shared some blows over the last couple of weeks after 2021 Cup champion Kyle Larson boldly claimed that he is a better all-round driver than Max Verstappen . His argument was centred around the fact that he has more experience different racing series unlike Verstappen who is limited Open-Wheel racing.

The fans and pundit took the opportunity takes dig each other, with a lot of drama being created online. Max Verstappen responded to the claim by asserting that every motorsport series has its own unique challenges and it's tough to make a fair comparison. Kyle Larson has now responded to the backlash over his comments.

He asserted that he enjoyed reading everything that has been written on the topic and added that it was fun to see the back and forth between fans online. Larson sees it as fun topic and nothing more. He later did admit that his quotes were taken a little bit off-context and revealed his wish to see more crossover events.

During the same interview, Kyle Larson was asked about the potential of Max Verstappen coming into the Indy 500 and them having a duel there. He admitted that he has no idea what the result for the duo would be compete against each other in the series. Larson doesn't think Verstappen would ever come to Indy.
