Hyderabad: Telangana aims to emerge as one of India's leading logistics hubs, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Thursday.
Addressing the 'Transport Logistic India 2026' conference at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, he said the government is working with a structured plan to build a future-ready ecosystem for the sector.
'Telangana Rising 2047' sets GDP target
Sridhar Babu said the government has launched the 'Telangana Rising 2047' document with a goal to raise the state's contribution to India's Gross Domestic Product from 5% to 10% by 2047. Telangana currently ranks 11th in geographical area and 12th in population.

He said the state aims to build a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with logistics playing a key role.
Focus on digital integration, green logistics
The minister said the government is focusing on infrastructure development, digital integration, policy and regulatory facilitation, sustainability and green logistics, skill development and innovation to build a "future-ready ecosystem".
He said global supply chain restructuring, artificial intelligence-driven intelligent logistics and sustainability are transforming the sector.
Sridhar Babu cited projects such as the Regional Ring Road, Metro Rail Phase-II, new airports, a dry port, Telangana Logistics Policy 2.0 and dedicated logistics hubs. He said these initiatives will help position the state as an international logistics centre.
The minister said the government, in collaboration with Young India Skills University and other partners, is preparing a ready-to-work workforce for the sector.
He called on industrialists to invest in multimodal and rail-linked assets, air cargo, cold chain, Grade A warehousing, automation, digital platforms and green mobility as part of the Telangana Rising initiative.
He assured faster approvals, transparent policies and investor-friendly measures from the state government.
