HYDERABAD: Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University will organise a grape festival on March 7 at the Grape Research Station in Rajendranagar to promote crop diversification, vice-chancellor Dr D. Rajireddy said.
Festival aims to promote grape cultivation in Telangana
Rajireddy said the programme forms part of the state government's Praja Palana-Pragati initiative under its 99-day action plan. The event seeks to create awareness among farmers and encourage expansion of grape cultivation in the state.
He said Telangana has favourable conditions for grape farming and the festival will help farmers understand the crop's potential and cultivation practices.

Experts to guide farmers on grape cultivation methods
The event will explain cultivation techniques and management practices required in grape farming. It will also help farmers learn precautions needed in crop maintenance.
A total of 59 grape varieties will be displayed, including table varieties, juice varieties, wine grapes and white-seeded table varieties.
Rajireddy said grape cultivation experts, successful farmers, horticulture scientists and other specialists will participate and share their experiences with farmers.
