India: Raisen to Host 'Advanced Agriculture Festival 2026' from April 11-13

05 April 2026, Bhopal: Raisen district in Madhya Pradesh will host the three-day national-level "Advanced Agriculture Festival 2026: Exhibition and Training" from April 11 to 13. The event aims to bring together farmers, policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders on a single platform to facilitate access to technology, government schemes, and market opportunities.

The festival is being organized under the initiative of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development. He recently reviewed the event venue at Dussehra Ground in Raisen along with senior officials and flagged off a promotional campaign for the event.

According to the Minister, the three-day event is designed to provide farmers with access to modern agricultural technologies, improved practices, and better market linkages. He stated that the initiative will enable direct interaction between farmers, scientists, government officials, and agri-industry representatives.

The venue at Dussehra Ground has been developed with three large hangars and three seminar halls to host exhibitions, training sessions, and stakeholder interactions. Hangar 1 will feature segments on farm machinery, irrigation systems, crop protection, soil nutrition, seed technologies, farmer services, and innovation and research institutions, including CGIAR.

Hangar 2 will include exhibits from the livestock and dairy sectors, irrigation companies, and institutions such as NAFED, NCCF, National Seeds Corporation, and Indian Council of Agricultural Research, along with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and the Ministry of Rural Development. Around 300 stalls will be set up across these sections.

Hangar 3 has been designated as the main event and cultural hall, equipped with a stage and seating arrangements for a large number of participating farmers.

The festival is centered on the themes of "Government support with market access free from intermediaries" and "Safe produce, prosperous farmers." A major focus will be on awareness of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, including financial support for warehouses and cold storage, along with interest subvention benefits. The initiative aims to help farmers adopt scientific storage practices and improve price realization.

The event will feature demonstrations of modern tractors and agricultural equipment, exhibitions on improved seeds and fertilizers, organic farming practices, and information on allied sectors such as dairy, poultry, and fisheries. It will also include free training sessions, live information on government schemes, presentations by agri-startups, and opportunities for direct interaction with scientists and officials.

The exhibition will be formally inaugurated on April 10. The main opening ceremony on April 11 will be addressed by Rajnath Singh as the chief guest. The closing ceremony on April 13 will be attended by Nitin Gadkari, where an agricultural roadmap for Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, and nearby regions will be presented.

The event is expected to attract thousands of farmers and serve as a platform to integrate policy support, technology adoption, and market access into a unified agricultural ecosystem.
