07 April 2026, New Delhi: Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) has inaugurated its adaptive agricultural research centre, TAFE JFarm Rajasthan, in Bhawani Mandi on April 2, 2026. The initiative focuses on improving farm productivity through the adoption of agricultural practices and farmer training.
The inauguration was led by T. R. Kesavan, Group President - Corporate Relations and Alliances. The facility was inaugurated by Sandeep Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of TAFE, in the presence of representatives from local government bodies, dealer partners, and farmers.
The centre includes three components:
- Customer Experience Centre (CEC): Displays TAFE products through demonstrations.
- Product Training Centre (PTC): Provides technical training for dealers, service personnel, and farmers.
- Farmer Interaction Centre: Shares information on farming practices and techniques.
The centre is intended to provide farmers with practical exposure and field-based learning. It will cover areas such as crop production, crop protection, processing, and farm mechanisation suited to Indian conditions.
The Bhawani Mandi centre is expected to support farmer engagement and knowledge exchange in Rajasthan. It aims to facilitate the adoption of farming methods through training and demonstrations.
JFarm, TAFE's agricultural research and training initiative, was established in 1964 in Kelambakkam, Chennai. The company also operates a similar facility in Telangana. The Rajasthan centre, along with a Product Training Centre (PTC), has been set up as part of TAFE's CSR activities and is the third such facility in India.
On the occasion, Lakshmi Venu, Vice Chairman of TAFE, said that the company's approach is based on combining domain knowledge, technology, and sustainability. She stated that the centre will provide farmers with opportunities to observe and adopt practices through demonstrations and training programmes.
She added that the JFarm Rajasthan centre will support the use of farm mechanisation and extend its reach to farmers in Rajasthan and other parts of North India, in line with the company's stated vision of working with the farming community.
