Based on this, CRDA has already started land monetization policy in Amaravati. In the first phase, it will bring in 4000 acres that fall within Capital limits.
It will be selling one acre at Rs 20 crore and get Rs 80,00 crore. The money made will be used to pay back money to the funding agencies.
In Hyderabad, one acre was sold for Rs 100 crore in Kokapet. Now, in outskirts, land is being sold for Rs 15 to 20 crore, even without any basic amenities. If one looks at the matter, selling an acre for Rs 20 crore will not be a big deal as the AP government will be spending 50 to 60 crore on infrastructure filled with greenery and 30% set aside for water bodies.
Green & blue concept is being used and a world-class livable city is being developed. Selling land that is 7 to 8 km away from core government complex at Rs 20 crore is not a big issue. Though selling 4000 acres will not happen overnight.

It could take 15 years. And the land price could shoot up to Rs 100 crore as its a developing area which is being developed as per plan. MAUD Minister Narayana recently said the same and added that post development, the Central government will get Rs 6 crore and the state government will get Rs 6 crore as GST. This will add up to Rs 12 crore per year.
No wonder, Amaravati is being mentioned as a 'akshaya patra'. The city will be a revenue generator for the government. Jagan's government delayed works for 5 years. In all, 10 years have gone by. So, the development of Amaravati will be profitable to the government and to the people.
