As Akshay Kumar returns to the box office with Kesari Chapter 2, the official trailer launch event took place earlier today.
The trailer has been getting mostly positive reviews from the fans and by the looks of it, the film might become a box-office comeback for Akshay Kumar.

During the trailer launch event, the renowned actor revealed that the third installment of the Kesari series is in the works and also revealed the basic plot of the film.
Kesari 3 will be based on the life of Sikh Warrior Hari Singh Nalwa. The courageous warrior was the first commander-in-chief of the army of the Sikh Empire.

Hari Singh Nalwa also became the governor of Kashmir, Hazara and Peshawar during his time in command.
He also famously defeated the Afghans during his time in the Sikh army. While no official dates have been revealed, Akshay stated that he is privileged to portray such a strong character on the big screen.

As for Kesari 2, the film will also showcase R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in prominent roles and revolves around the horrific killings of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
Many believe that the actor might be hyping up Kesari 2 with this announcement and is doing a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming film.
It remains to be seen how the film performs at the box office with its official release on April 18.
