Akshay Kumar's career has seen many twists and turns, especially when it comes to animals.
Whether it was starring alongside a golden retriever in Entertainment, fighting a shape-shifting snake in Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, or portraying a character called Janwar, Akshay has certainly explored the animal theme in various ways.
Some of these performances were loved by the audience, while others didn't land as well.
Continuing his unusual association with animals, Akshay was recently approached by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba for his upcoming film Snake.

Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani was widely criticized for its poor execution, illogical scenes, and what many believed was a highly miscast ensemble. The film didn't live up to the hype it created around its special effects either.
Given that, it's understandable why Akshay would be hesitant to dip his toes into a project with a similar theme that previously resulted in failure.
Producers Mahaveer Jain and Karan Johar had multiple rounds of meetings with Akshay, and when he finally backed out, they decided to reset the project with Kartik Aaryan in the lead.
The snake comedy is all set to go on floors in October 2025 and is slated for release in the second half of 2026.
