The second phase of land pooling in the Amaravati Capital Region will begin on January 3. Land will be pooled from seven villages and nine units, with the state government set to acquire a total of 16,666.78 acres.
Applications will be accepted after the official notification is issued. GIS mapping and field-level surveys will be conducted before entering into agreements, with the target set to complete the process by February 28, 2026.
The newly pooled land will be added to the existing capital land bank. This move is expected to boost farmer confidence and revive real estate activity across the Amaravati region.
In the first phase, nearly 34,000 acres were pooled. Despite concerns over compensation, the government led by Chandrababu Naidu has expressed confidence in honouring commitments made to farmers and accelerating capital development.
The villages included in the second phase are Vykuntapuram, Pedamadduru, Endroy, Karlapudi Lemalle, Vaddamanu, Harichandrapuram, and Pedapirimi. With this addition, the capital city area will expand to nearly 65,000 to 70,000 acres.
The decision to proceed with the second phase of land pooling was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on November 27, 2025, clearing the way for the next stage of Amaravati's expansion.
