Nara Lokesh kept the Telugu states guessing after posting a cryptic message on X. He announced that the secret would be revealed at 12 noon on Thursday.
The suspense ended with a major announcement linked to Andhra Pradesh leadership.
Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has won the Business Reformer Of The Year award from Economic Times. Lokesh said that when reforms move beyond slogans and turn into action, recognition follows. He called it a proud moment for his family and the state.
Lokesh said only a few leaders have shaped India's reform journey with clarity and consistency. He described the award as recognition of Chandrababu's focus on reforms, speed in decision making, and trust based governance. He added that this approach continues to deliver results.
The publication highlighted Chandrababu's efforts to revive investor confidence in Andhra Pradesh. Its headline, "Naidugiri And The Art of Winning Over Big Business", explained why he was chosen. The focus remained on his persistence and strategic engagement.
Economic Times noted that Chandrababu's track record and persuasion helped bring back Lulu Group, Ashok Leyland, ReNew and the Singapore government. These investments returned after detailed discussions and policy clarity offered by the state leadership.
The state has attracted projects worth Rs 10.7 lakh crores so far. These are not just promises but cabinet approved projects. Many of them are already under implementation at different stages across Andhra Pradesh.
The jury cited Chandrababu's role in introducing technology driven discipline in governance. His vision of building new cities, earlier seen in Hyderabad, sets him apart. The same thinking now guides the development of Amaravati as the new capital.
The publication added that Chandrababu's future ready reforms made it easier for businesses to operate. This enabled the government to support welfare schemes for the elderly, unemployed, women and children through effective cross subsidisation.
