Quick commerce is the trending way of shopping in Indian metro cities. Quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and Big Basket deliver a wide range of items, including groceries, daily essentials and electronics within 10-15 minutes to their customers.
Now, e-commerce giant Amazon is also set to enter this space. According to the latest reports, Amazon will be launching its new quick commerce platform, code-named Tez, to cater for the quick delivery needs of its consumers.

Amazon has been planning to enter the quick commerce space for a long time. Initially, it planned to launch Tez in the first quarter of 2025. However, the fresh reports suggest that the platform will most likely be launched in December this year or January next year. The decision on the launch is expected to be taken at Amazon's Annual General Meeting, Sambhav, which will be held on December 9-10.
Amazon is currently setting up dark stores, recruiting delivery staff, and working on managing logistics and storekeeping.
