AP CM Chandrababu is now paying close attention to party discipline. Even with government work on his hands, he has started meeting leaders directly during his pension distribution visits.
He is reminding them that the party stands beside its cadre and expects the same level of commitment in return.
He wants ground energy to stay high, but he is not lenient with those who delay work. MLAs who are slow in releasing CMRF cheques and insurance support to families of deceased TDP members are receiving warnings. The party office has sent notices to 49 such MLAs. Chandrababu has taken note of some Ministers as well.
During his visit to Kamalapuram in Kadapa, he reviewed caste-wise representation. He pointed out that one caste had 29% population but received 39% of posts. Another SC group had 11% population but only 8% posts. Smaller communities with 2-3% presence had no representation. He stressed that social balance keeps every group involved in governance.
Chandrababu said that if smaller sections feel ignored, they withdraw from participation. You need to bring everyone along. When they feel included, they vote with trust, said Chandrababu. He wants the party to practice social re-engineering and ensure that support never slips away.
While touring constituencies, he has begun evaluating MLAs directly. He wants to know how often they distributed pensions, handled public issues, joined Swachandra events, or brought new members into TDP. He is tracking who holds influence among women, men and different castes.
He is studying voting patterns, age-based political attraction and whether schemes like Super Six helped shift support towards TDP. He is instructing party workers on which communities they must engage more actively. Performance now decides future posts. No obligation, only work.
Chandrababu said he spends three hours each on Saturdays and Sundays studying party matters. He keeps detailed vote data from 2024 and checks whether social equality reflected in appointments. He wants to know if the party can retain the same vote share if elections happen today. MLAs underperforming or staying away from their constituencies receive subtle warnings.
