Undavalli Arun Kumar, former MP, political analyst recently garnered publicity by talking in support of YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu. Now, during a press conference, Undavalli spoke about Chandrababu and Jagan.
He did not give rise to any controversy by making any personal attack. But he raised a point that got the political watchers intrigued. Undavalli said despite promises of welfare, development and progress in Andhra Pradesh, it has to be noted that the headquarters of Heritage and Bharti Cements are in Telangana.
Heritage Group is owned by Chandrababu Naidu family. Bharti Cement, Sakshi Media are owned by Jagan. Undavalli said that it is no coincidence that both leaders chose to have properties in Telangana, while ruling Andhra Pradesh politics.
Undavalli said that if both leaders shifted their respective headquarters to Vijayawada or Guntur, AP would get taxes from them. However, though he described their operations as 'chidambara rahasyam', both Chandrababu and Jagan own massive properties in Telangana.
Chandrababu might bring the likes of Google, Reliance and TCS to Amaravati and make it a tax haven for them, he appears to be in no hurry to move the base of Heritage Group. So is the case with YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He himself lives in Bengaluru and has business operations in Karnataka and Telangana.
Hence, both leaders maintain a good relationship with the CMs of Telangana. While Jagan is friends with KCR, Revanth Reddy is the disciple of Chandrababu.
At no point does Chandrababu or Jagan talk about the CM in power. Their ideologies could be different, but their business interests are common.
