Chandrababu Naidu created history in his constituency Kuppam by setting a new Guinness record. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is currently on the second day of his Kuppam tour.
During the visit, Chandrababu distributed NTR pensions and handed over e-cycles to DWACRA women. The event drew massive public attention.
Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu said a new chapter had begun from Kuppam. He stated that 5555 e-cycles were distributed in the constituency, creating a Guinness record.
He clarified that the initiative was not just about entering the record books. Chandrababu said many more development initiatives would follow in the coming days.
The Chief Minister explained that the e-cycles can be recharged using solar energy generated from rooftops. He also reminded voters that they had voted for the cycle symbol and were now witnessing the development it delivered.
Before the distribution event, a large rally was organised from Sivapuram to Praja Vedika using e-cycles. Chandrababu personally took part in the rally and rode an e-cycle for nearly three kilometres.
With the distribution of 5555 e-cycles, Chittoor district officially entered the Guinness Book. Guinness officials announced the record during the programme.
The Guinness medal was later handed over by Chandrababu to the district collector. The event was celebrated as a major milestone for the region.
After returning to power in 2024, Chandrababu has placed special focus on the development of Kuppam and Rayalaseema. Several large projects have been brought to the region.
He also strengthened the Handri-neeva project to improve water availability for Rayalaseema. Supporters say these initiatives reflect his long-term development vision.
