Naidu, who strongly advocated 'ఇద్దరు ముద్దూ ఆపై వద్దు' in United Andhra, is now urging the People to have more than two kids so that the ageing population will be India's Biggest Crisis going forward.
They also cite the example of China, where this Crisis is already blowing out of proportion.
In Japan, Children aged 14 or younger now make up less than 12% of this country's population. That means there will very small portion of the young and agile population available to work in the years to come.
Who Said Revanth Reddy Is a Chappal Thief?
In South India, where Population Control is implemented strictly, there is a shortage of workforce, and people from the North, where there is no population control,l come down South to work.
Naidu's advice also met with criticism as people are questioning how they can afford to raise more than two kids with raging inflation and meager salaries.
2019 Jagan Better Than 2025 Jagan
Also, Modern couples are suffering from severe fertility issues and are not able to handle the stress.
But then, Naidu seems to be firm on his opinion.
Today, the Andhra Pradesh Government released a G.O. relaxing the Children Count restriction for the Maternity Leave Policy.
The
Government of India allows 180 days of Paid Leave for women employees only for the two surviving kids.
The
Andhra Pradesh Government will now allow the same leave for any number of kids.
This is a kind of incentive for women to give birth to more children. Probably, Naidu will roll out more incentives to the common people as well in the coming days to motivate to have more kids.
Some people mock Naidu, saying that he only had one son but is preaching to the poor and middle class to have more. The problem is that Naidu planned his family according to the situations prevailing at that time.
Naidu need not have one child given his net worth, but he planned as such to have one as an example for the people.
Now, it is a different scenario. He may even push his son to plan the family according to the current scenario.
Experts also agree with this advocacy of Naidu.
"Those who talk about population decline will be trolled now. But by the time people realize the crisis, the same leaders will be called visionary leaders," they say.
People like Mohandas Pai, the Board Member at Infosys, and Zoho Founder Sridhar Vembu also press the alarm over the Population Decline.
Keeping aside everything, Naidu should be commended for strictly enforcing what he believes is good for the nation.
