Venky Atluri's Lucky Bhaskar, having stars like Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary and backed by Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments, faced off against first-time directors Sujith and Sandeep's KA, starring Kiran Abbavaram and an unknown heroine.
However, the USA box office winner was a surprise.

Lucky Bhaskar has collected $1,131,275 so far but is yet to reach breakeven for its U.S. distributor.
Lucky Bhaskar will run for the next four days in U.S. theaters, so there is a chance it will touch break even. After that, the new releases Kanguva and Matka will take over the U.S. box office from this Wednesday.
Kanguva: No OTT Release For 8 Weeks
On the other hand, KA has collected $624,525, already reaching breakeven and entering the profit zone comfortably.
This may not matter much for a star like Dulquer Salmaan, but for director Venky Atluri, who is awaiting his first success in North America, it is surely a big disappointment.
NTR: Too Much Risk, Or Good Calculation?
For an upcoming actor like Kiran Abbavaram, this is a much-needed positive boost, and if he makes another genuine follow-up to KA, it will likely resonate in this region.
