The High Court questioned officials of the Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation (GVMC) about the actions taken against YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy's daughter, Neha Reddy, and others responsible for violating Coastal Regulation Zone rules in Bhimunipatnam, Visakhapatnam district.

The court inquired whether an FIR had been registered in this matter and ordered the submission of a detailed report.

Janasena corporator PLVN Murthy Yadav filed a public interest litigation, alleging that authorities were neglecting illegal permanent construction in the CRZ-1 area of Bhimili Beach, dangerously close to the sea. A recent hearing on the case led to a court order instructing GVMC to remove the permanent structures being built near the coastline.

When the case came up for hearing again on Wednesday, senior advocate KS Murthy presented arguments on behalf of the petitioner. The court was informed that only a coastal security wall was demolished, while other illegal structures remained untouched.
