It has to be noted that Hydra took action just a day after issuing notices. It cleared fence around a 4 acre land parcel and around 20 business establishments were also razed.
The locals were distraught as they had been living in their residences for years. They said Hydra put them on the roads in one move.
On the other hand, the business owners could not clear their shops. Due to this, costly appliances like TVs, refrigerators and others were smashed during the demolition drive.
