It was later revealed that Anand had secured admission to the university with a full scholarship by forging multiple documents, including fake transcripts, financial statements, and even his father's fake death certificate.
This has led the university to consider partnering with a third-party service like World Education Services (WES) for document verification.

While this move may increase costs for future students, the university has assured that it will continue to maintain its affordability.
The Indian Social media has been going wild ever since this news came out. While some condemned Anand for forging his documents, others criticized the university for not having more strict mechanisms in the first place.

One user said, "This is why genuine students struggle with visa rejections. People like him ruin it for everyone."
Another blamed the University as he commented, "If a random Redditor can expose this, what's stopping a top university from catching it earlier?"
While multiple parties are to be blamed, one thing becomes crystal clear - The rules need to be reformed to prevent any such fraud in the future.
