Jagan's Battaludesta Comment, HM's Counter

Yesterday, ex CM Jagan was in Raptadu, Anantapur, to console the family of YSRCP activist Lingamaiah. He then addressed his supporters and media during the tour.

As a part of his speech, Jagan said 'police valla battaludadesta' (I will disrobe police) after he returns to power. Jagan had said that Chandrababu was treating police as watchmen.

Purandareswari - BJP Chief or LS Deputy Speaker?

But in his speech, he spoke the unpardonable words saying that police were acting in favour of alliance government.

Reacting to this kind of cheap behaviour, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita gave a strong counter to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Already, the police associations have condemned the statement. The Home Minister said that hearing such words from an ex chief minister was disgusting.

She said that Jagan must know that wearing a police uniform was no simple thing. It is not like going to a mall and buying a uniform. Every police person from a constable to an IPS has to write exams, pass through physical tests, give interviews and put in a lot of effort to get the eligibility to wear a khaki dress.

Lookout Notices for Ex Minister Kakani

Jagan said he will remove such a prestigious uniform. Is it right for an ex CM questioned Anita. She shared that Anantapur SP and DIG are women. There are a lot of SIs and constables in Anantapur. Jagan used such language in that place, said the Home Minister.

He lacked the goodness and compassion to utter such words, especially when he came to console a victim's family, said Anita.

Those in the political circles are wondering if Jagan picked up the phrase from a leader in the neighbouring state.
