Jana Sena has begun setting up party committees in Pithapuram constituency from Monday. The move follows Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan's decision to select leaders from active karyakartas.
Based on his suggestions, the party will finalise committees within three days.
Party chief secretary Ram Talluri reached the Chebrolu office in Pithapuram to launch the process. Ward, booth, and village-level committees will be formed. Each ward will have 10 to 15 members along with a designated ward in-charge.
Booth and village in-charges will be appointed through the same selection process. The party leadership will prioritise committed karyakartas who work proactively. Special focus will also be given to veeramahilas while forming these committees.
These committees will function at the grassroots level. Their role will include addressing local issues and supporting infrastructure development. The aim is to strengthen the party's presence across all sections of the constituency.
Earlier, Jana Sena set up a committee in Pithapuram as a pilot project. With the expansion now underway, more committees are being formed in Pawan Kalyan's constituency. Based on their performance, the model will be rolled out across the state.
