BRS chief KCR is set to return to active politics in the coming days. The party has announced an LP Meet on December 19 at 2pm. The key development is that KCR will attend the meeting in person.
During the LP Meet, KCR will focus on the Krishna and Godavari waters issue. He will also raise concerns about farmers' water rights in Telangana. Since BRS plans to launch an agitation, his presence has added political significance.
The remaining agenda has not been disclosed so far. The party has also not confirmed whether KCR will address the media. If he speaks to reporters, the political atmosphere in Telangana is expected to intensify.
KCR stated that BRS will agitate over the Krishna and Godavari waters dispute. He accused the Congress of failing to stop Andhra Pradesh from interfering in the issue. He also blamed the BJP for obstructing efforts to protect farmers' water rights.
He added that the party will soon finalise a detailed plan of action. The strategy will focus on both water disputes and farmers' rights. BRS leaders are expected to align the agitation around these two core issues.
