BRS chief KCR will meet the party legislative group and executive committee on Sunday, December 21. He will preside over the meeting, which will be attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs and executive members.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi is preparing to launch agitations over water related issues and irrigation projects. Party sources say KCR will issue clear guidelines on the proposed agitation plan.

The meeting will take place at Telangana Bhavan. It was originally scheduled for December 19 but was postponed due to Parliament sessions continuing until that date.

The gathering is expected to energise party leaders ahead of the upcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections. KCR will also review the party's performance in recent panchayat elections and discuss organisational restructuring.

Water disputes with Andhra Pradesh and pending irrigation projects will be key discussion points. Leaders will raise concerns over setting aside the Palamuru Rangareddy Ethipothala project, which is said to be 90 percent complete.

The party is also opposing the Kodangal Lift irrigation project and the Polavaram Nallamala project. These issues are expected to form the core of the party's criticism against the ruling Congress.

BRS plans to begin its agitation for water rights from Mahbubnagar, the chief minister's home district. The party is also likely to oppose Andhra Pradesh projects under the river linkages programme.

Additionally, BRS leaders are expected to pressure the Congress government to repair the Medigadda, Sundilla and Annaram barrages. The meeting is seen as crucial for shaping the party's political strategy.
