Speculation around Peddi's release date is getting stronger as March 27 comes closer. The makers have not officially announced any postponement, but fans are still doubtful.
The team is giving signals that the date has not changed, yet their silence is raising questions. Director Buchi Babu seems to be planning everything around Ram Charan's birthday, and the shooting and post-production are being aligned accordingly. This suggests that March 27 is still the target.
However, there are real concerns. Promotions, remaining shoot, and post-production are all happening at the same time, leaving very little breathing space. On top of that, Peddi may face a tough box office situation as Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic are releasing just a week before. From a business point of view, avoiding such a close clash could actually help the film rather than hurt it.
Latest industry talk says the team is also looking at May 1 as a backup release date. Interestingly, Akkineni Akhil's Lenin is also targeting the same date, though nothing is confirmed yet. If Peddi locks May 1, the other film may move. Still, March is considered a much better window. Summer holidays begin during that period, which usually brings strong family audiences to theatres. Rangasthalam released around the same time and went on to create huge records, showing how powerful that slot can be.
May 1, on the other hand, has its drawbacks. Schools start reopening, admissions begin, and families get busy, which affects theatre turnout. Because of this, family audiences are harder to pull in big numbers during that time.
The Peddi team seems to be carefully thinking through all these factors, which is why there is no clear announcement yet. However, trade circles are sure that Peddi will be postponed from March 27.
Until an official update comes out, speculation will continue. For now, fans will have to wait a little longer for clarity.
