Karthi's Meiyazhagan, which was released on September 27th, has acquired positive responses from the audiences and critics. Even though the movie required positive responses, some of them have mentioned that the movie lags in the second half.

In this scenario, as per reports, the Meiyazhagan team has decided to trim the movie for about 18 minutes, and the trimmed version will only be screened in theatres today.

Previously, Meiyazhagan had a run time of around 2 hours and 57 minutes. While many audiences were praising this movie for the wholesomeness this movie presented to the audience.

Some of them mentioned that although the movie was good, its runtime was a major issue, and in the second half, the lengthy conversation between Karthi and Aravind Swamy was a minor drawback. So the team has decided to trim the runtime of this movie.

Also, some of the audience criticized this decision as the movie was good and felt complete with this runtime and why the team was taking unnecessary trimming.
