Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that those who interfere with Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala will face consequences in this very lifetime.
He made these remarks while speaking to the media in Kuppam, Chittoor district.
"Tirumala is a sacred place. As soon as we came to power, we took steps to protect its sanctity. As part of that purification process, Shyamala Rao was sent. Even then, he asked for the NDDB report. I spoke about the issue only after the NDDB report on the adulterated ghee incident came out. I clearly stated that animal fats were present and that adulteration had taken place.
After I spoke, there was a huge uproar. They went to the Supreme Court. We formed an SIT to investigate the adulterated ghee issue. Now they have reached a point where they are asking me to apologise. What should one say about this? This is an example of how YSRCP leaders behave.
Lord Venkateswara is the god I believe in. Before Him, I am only an ordinary devotee. I have never gone through the Vaikuntha Dwaram for darshan. Those who commit wrongdoing in Tirumala will face the consequences in this very life. A grave sin has been committed there, a serious sacrilege.
I will not comment now on the transfer of Anil Kumar Singhal," the Chief Minister said.
