Minister Gives Clarity On Plot Allocation: Amaravati

AP MAUD Minister Ponguru Narayana clarified the status of plot allocation for Amaravati farmers who gave their lands for the capital project.

He said some people were spreading false claims about the allocation and registration process.

The Minister assured that all plot allocations and registrations will be completed within four months. He shared that 34,911.23 acres of land were taken under land pooling from 30,635 farmers. So far, 34,192.94 acres have been allocated to 29,644 farmers.

During the 2014-19 term, 31,003.38 acres were allocated to 26,197 farmers. The current government has allocated 3,188.81 acres to 2,727 farmers. Land allocation for 719.04 acres remains pending for 991 farmers.

Minister Narayana said that 69,421 plots still need to be registered, while 60,980 have already been completed. A total of 8,441 plots are pending due to various reasons such as court cases, pending land acquisition, PoT cases, endowment lands, tank lands, and NRI plots.

He added that ₹231.03 crore has been paid as land lease this year, while ₹3.15 crore is pending. Narayana reaffirmed that Amaravati's development is moving as per a clear plan and promised that justice will be done to all farmers.
