Empuraan is still in theaters and now an edited version is being shown with more than two minutes cut from the original. And now there is a probability that even on OTT there will be only the trimmed version and not the original one.
'Empuraan: L2' is the sequel to the much loved Mohanlal movie 'Lucifer' and had huge anticipation amongst fans. But the movie sparked religious and political controversies shortly after the release, which led to the CBFC cut.

Fans were hopeful that at least on OTT they will be able to experience the original movie as intended by the filmmaker. But it does not seem to be very likely.
Empuraan's rights are with Netflix and Netflix has been criticised by Indian users many times before for its politically controversial contents and probably the platform will not want to enrage them again by streaming the uncut Empuraan.

But some fans are dejected that they are not getting to watch the movie without the edits even on OTT. But nothing has been confirmed yet and there might be some chances of viewing the movie without the edits in future.
