Kangana Ranaut's Emergency is now available on OTT and it was released through Netflix on the occasion of Holi on March 14, 2025. The film was originally a flop at the box office and it seems like Kangana is seeking some praise by bringing it on OTT.
But the shocking fact is that Rs. 80 crores were paid by Netflix for this disaster. The streaming platform has been in the headlines for purchasing the digital rights of so many films since last year.

However, Netflix should have avoided Emergency because it is not going to expand its viewership or number of subscribers in any manner.
The films that are in the top ten in terms of views on Netflix are going to maintain their position and Emergency does not have a chance to take a spot among them at all.
Audiences have completely rejected Kangana Ranaut's films in theatres. It is a fact that she needs to understand now. Releasing it on OTT won't help to bring a lot of praise and there is a possibility that it might turn out to be a disaster even in an online platform.
Viewers want entertainment and Emergency failed to provide the same when it came to theatres. If Kangana is genuinely interested in a bounce-back, it will be better for her to do a web series with a talented director.

It is the best time for Kangana to maintain distance from the big screen, specifically in a phase where big films are failing to bring profits at the box office.
