BARC has released the Telugu news channel ratings for Week 50. One of the most discussed aspects is the performance of BIG TV, which is widely rumoured to be Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's personal mouthpiece.
The channel continues to struggle in the rankings.
BIG TV has managed only a 2.4 rating and is placed at the bottom in 14th position. This comes despite the channel receiving priority coverage in government programmes. The numbers highlight its limited reach among viewers.
The BRS mouthpiece T-News is also facing difficulties. It stands at the eleventh position with a 5.3 rating. While BIG TV is relatively new, T-News has been in operation for years and enjoyed nearly a decade of power.
TV9 and NTV continue to dominate the charts and remain the table toppers. Their consistent performance reflects strong viewer trust. TV5 and ABN follow closely in the third and fourth positions.
10TV has secured the fifth position, while Sakshi stands at sixth place. These channels continue to maintain steady viewership across the Telugu states. The mid-table competition remains tight.
In Hyderabad, BIG TV is again placed at the bottom of the table. T News performs slightly better in the city, securing the eighth position. Regional preferences appear to influence these rankings.
TV9, ABN, TV5, Sakshi, V6, and NTV occupy the top six positions in Hyderabad. These channels continue to lead in urban viewership. Their dominance reflects strong local connect and consistent content delivery.
