Rajahmundry BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari criticised Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for blaming Allu Arjun entirely for the Sandhya Theatre stampede issue.
Speaking to the media in Ongole, Purandeswari said that Allu Arjun went to the theatre just as an actor and that whatever happened was unfortunate, but it was not his fault.

She questioned why Allu Arjun, who is the A11 in the case, had been arrested while the rest of the accused individuals in the case had not. Calling the stampede and the lady's death unfortunate incidents, Purandeswari recalled that Allu Arjun said he would stand by the family and questioned why the government is still behind him.
Yesterday, Revanth Reddy and AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi slammed Allu Arjun in the Sandhya Theatre stampede issue. Revanth said that despite knowing it would be tough to control the crowd, Allu Arjun went to the theatre even when the police gave no permission.

Owaisi alleged that when Allu Arjun was informed about the stampede and the lady's death at the theatre, he said, "Ok, my movie will become a hit now."
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun denied all these allegations and said his character was being assassinated. He called the incident unfortunate and assured that he would stand by the family in these tough times.
