Prabhas' The Raja Saab, which released yesterday, opened below expectations. Trade estimates put the film's first day worldwide gross at around Rs 90 crores.

However, producer TG Vishwa Prasad claimed a higher figure of Rs. 112 crores at the film's success meet, saying the opening once again highlighted Prabhas's box-office stamina. During the same interaction, the team also addressed several concerns raised by fans.

One of the biggest doubts was about the older-age Prabhas character seen in the trailer, which was missing in the theatrical version. Director Maruthi clarified that an eight-minute episode featuring this character could not be included earlier due to technical issues. He said the team has now trimmed other scenes in the second half and officially added this episode back into the film.

Director Maruthi stated that it is not correct to judge the result of The Raja Saab based on just one day. He explained that this film introduces a new concept and a different narrative approach. According to him, the true result of the film will become clear only after a few days, once viewers have enough time to process and discuss it.

Maruthi pointed out that certain scenes in the film are being appreciated by intellectual audiences, while some Prabhas fans who do not fully understand those moments are bashing them and abusing me. He requested everyone not to rush into declaring the film a hit or a failure. He asked audiences to stay patient and allow the film some time to settle. He also clarified that not all fans of Prabhas are disappointed. At the same time, he admitted that they are not completely satisfied either.

According to Maruthi, a section of fans felt disappointed mainly because they could not see Prabhas in his old-age getup as expected. Because of this emotional reaction, he believes some viewers failed to fully absorb the story and connect with the narrative. Addressing this issue, Maruthi confirmed that all those missing scenes are now being added back into the film starting today. He also revealed that the team has trimmed a few scenes in the second half to improve pacing and flow.

He assured fans that from this evening onwards, audiences will be watching a new Raja Saab. He concluded by once again requesting audiences not to decide the fate of the film too early and to give it a fair chance over the coming days.

The team also announced a change in ticket pricing. Maruthi confirmed that from Monday onward, ticket prices will return to normal. He requested audiences to support the film over the weekend and assured that regular pricing would be followed from the start of the week.

Given that the film has received largely poor to mixed word of mouth, the team's quick response is being seen as a sensible move. Addressing fan dissatisfaction at this stage may help limit further damage. It seems People Media Factory handled the situation responsibly instead of ignoring feedback.

With new films like Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Bharta Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, Anaganaga Oka Raju, and Naari Naari Naduma Murari releasing from Monday, this weekend is crucial for The Raja Saab. Whether the added episode helps the film stabilize or not will become clear in the next few days.
