Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have established themselves as one of the most popular couples in Bollywood. The duo have additionally continued delivering hits in the last few years.

Notably, Alia has Jigra in the upcoming lineup and the actress recently spoke up on the competition she has had with her husband when it comes to acting. The Raazi star stated at a press conference that she and Ranbir always discuss their films if they are confused.

Alia said that competition exists between her and Ranbir, adding that he has also been a close friend. The Student of the Year star revealed that she talked about Gangubai Kathiawadi and Jigra to her better half and Ranbir did the same when he was cast in Animal.

Alia added that there are a few similarities between her upcoming film and Animal. She said that the common theme is a character doing anything for the person he or she is closely attracted to.

Alia also claimed that both the films belong to a particular genre which has accumulated a different kind of fanbase over the years.

Animal, which was helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, landed itself in controversy due to its problematic theme. It seems like Ranbir was scared of how the audience would react to the film and shared his fears with Alia.
