The 2012 release Cocktail written by Imtiaz Ali and directed by Homi Adjania has a cult following with 2010s youth. Now Cocktail 2 a comic-romance love triangle is being undertaken to be made for the current generation with new stars namely Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon as of now.
The hunt for the second female lead has been going on and Rashmika Mandanna has been the most likely decision for the same. Dinesh Vijan is producing the film with the direction of Homi Adjania and writing by Luv Ranjan.
