Telangana CM Revanth Reddy shared a sharp message for BRS leaders Harish Rao and KTR after the Jubilee Hills bypoll win. He told Harish Rao to reduce envy and advised KTR to reduce arrogance.
He reminded them that they are younger and will remain in politics for years.
Revanth Reddy said that power never stays with anyone forever. He added that power is not ancestral property. Even if it were, he said it would not come fully to anyone because daughters also have a legal share, referring to a law introduced by late NTR.
He said people gave a clear mandate to Congress. In the 2023 assembly elections, KCR travelled across the state for BRS, while leaders like himself, Bhatti Vikramarka, Komatireddy and Ponguleti worked for Congress. People gave Congress 65 seats and BRS 39.
Revanth Reddy said Congress secured a 39.5% vote share while BRS got 37%. In the Parliament elections held six months later, Congress increased its vote share to 41% and won 8 seats. BJP secured 8 seats with 35% vote share, while Congress gained one more seat through its alliance with AIMIM.
In Jubilee Hills, Congress secured 51% votes, BRS got 38% and BJP got 8%. He said that even if BRS and BJP join hands, Congress still holds a clear advantage. He added that the numbers show that people trust Congress for welfare and development.
Revanth Reddy said his government will continue its work and asked the opposition to show self-restraint. He said the public has shown trust and the government will honour that responsibility with steady action and accountability.
