In Hyderabad, a shocking crime straight out of a spine-chilling thriller has taken the city by storm. A couple was arrested in Borabanda limits for brutally murdering an auto driver after accusing him of kidnapping their daughter.

Using Snapchat, they lured him into a honey trap. Later, they tied a boulder to his body and threw him alive into the Sagar Canal.

The horrifying incident happened in March 2023 but has only now come to light. The victim, Kumar (30), was an auto driver from Nizampet. The couple suspected him of abducting their 7th-grade daughter.

Kumar had allegedly abducted her last year. He confined her in a room in Yousufguda. There, he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her, but she managed to escape.

The girl was later found wandering and was taken in by the Balanagar police. When questioned, she claimed to be an orphan, prompting the authorities to send her to a special shelter home.

Meanwhile, her distressed parents continued their relentless search for her but found no trace.

During the COVID period, while checking a laptop they had purchased for online classes, they came across a suspicious phone number on Snapchat. It was traced back to the auto driver.

The girl's mother used Snapchat to trap Kumar and called him to Miyapur. There, the parents attacked him, bundled him into their car, and demanded answers about their daughter.

Kumar claimed the girl had escaped from him, but the furious parents refused to believe him. They beat him unconscious, tied a large boulder to his limbs, and threw him into the Nagarjuna Sagar Canal. He drowned, and his body disappeared.

The case took a twist when Kumar's relatives saw the couple using his auto. This led the police to crack the case. The couple is now under arrest, and chilling details of the crime have shocked everyone.
