Sritej, the boy injured in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 premiere, is showing signs of improvement, according to his father, Bhaskar.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday evening outside KIMS Hospital, Bhaskar shared updates about his son's health.

"Since the day of the incident, Sritej's condition has slightly improved. Over the past four to five days, we've noticed movement in his body. When given injections, he responds by indicating pain in his hand. He has started opening his eyes for the past two days, but he still cannot recognize us.

Doctors say it might take time for him to regain full awareness. We've been trying to help him recognize us since yesterday, but it hasn't worked yet," he said.

Doctors have shifted Sritej from the ICU to a private room and removed ventilator support. However, they remain uncertain about the timeline for his complete recovery.

Financial aid has also been extended by various sources: ₹50 lakhs from Mythri Movie Makers, ₹25 lakhs from Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and ₹10 lakhs from Allu Arjun.

Bhaskar also mentioned his decision to withdraw the case against Allu Arjun, saying, "Out of compassion and knowing that Allu Arjun has been supportive since the incident, I decided to drop the case. There was no pressure on me to do so. It's unclear when my son will fully recover, and I need everyone's support during this time."

He added that Sukumar's family visited twice to express their concern, and Allu Arjun's managers have been providing daily updates about Sritej's condition.
